Description de produit

1. Characteristics

Acidic silicone sealant is a one-component elastomeric adhesive with a distinctive acetic acid odor during curing, which is a key indicator of its chemical reaction process. It cures at room temperature by reacting with moisture in the air, gradually forming a flexible, durable rubber-like material that exhibits excellent adhesion to a wide range of substrates including glass, aluminum, ceramic, and most non-porous materials. The application method is straightforward: first, ensure the bonding or sealing surface is clean, dry, and free of dust, oil, and other contaminants—degreasing with a suitable solvent if necessary; then, cut the nozzle of the sealant cartridge at a 45-degree angle according to the required seam width, load it into a caulking gun, and extrude the sealant evenly along the joint or gap, ensuring full contact with both sides of the substrate; finally, smooth the surface with a tool dipped in soapy water within 5-10 minutes to achieve a neat appearance, and allow it to cure completely—initial curing typically takes 2-4 hours, while full curing (reaching maximum performance) requires 24-48 hours depending on environmental temperature and humidity. This sealant is commonly used in indoor and outdoor scenarios where moderate adhesion and flexibility are needed, such as sealing glass edges in windows and doors, bonding ceramic tiles in kitchens and bathrooms, and filling small gaps in aluminum alloy frames, adapting well to general construction and home improvement environments.

2. Features

  • Excellent Weather Resistance: It can withstand extreme temperature fluctuations (generally from -40℃ to 150℃), as well as erosion from sunlight, rain, and ozone, without cracking, hardening, or losing elasticity, ensuring long-term performance in outdoor environments.
  • Strong Adhesion: It forms a firm bond with most common building materials without the need for a primer, simplifying the construction process and enhancing bonding reliability.
  • Good Flexibility: After full curing, it maintains excellent elongation and recovery properties, which can effectively absorb the thermal expansion and contraction or slight deformation of substrates, preventing seal failure caused by structural movement.
  • Waterproof and Moisture-Proof: The cured sealant forms a dense, impermeable film that effectively blocks water and moisture penetration, making it ideal for wet environments like kitchens, bathrooms, and exterior walls.
  • Easy to Construct: As a one-component product, it requires no on-site mixing, has a smooth extrusion consistency, and can be easily shaped and smoothed, improving construction efficiency.

3. Applications

  • Architectural Glass Engineering: Sealing the joints between glass and aluminum frames in curtain walls, glass windows, and glass doors; bonding glass panels in glass partitions.
  • Home Improvement and Decoration: Sealing the gaps between ceramic tiles, marble, and walls/floors in kitchens, bathrooms, and balconies; sealing around sinks, bathtubs, and toilet bases to prevent water leakage.
  • Aluminum Alloy and Metal Processing: Sealing the seams of aluminum alloy doors and windows, aluminum composite panels, and metal gutters; bonding and sealing metal components in household appliances (such as refrigerator door edges and oven door gaskets).
  • Indoor Decoration Details: Filling and sealing small gaps in skirting boards, ceiling lines, and decorative panels; bonding and fixing glass crafts, mirrors, and other decorative elements.
  • General Industrial Sealing: Sealing of non-oil-bearing parts in small electrical appliances, such as the joints of air conditioner casings and lamp housings; sealing and bonding of plastic and glass components in daily necessities.
